Its a bit buggy, I often passed right through walls and floors (Walls were more common, this also seems kinda like a hitbox issue possibly). Controls are a little weird, having to press a button to grab the wall to then press another button to wall jump is odd. The font is also kinda hard to read, the door names are almost unreadable (Unless thats on purpose), but the first few signs are fine though. The first bird you grab is hard the first few times since you can't see it (I know you can look up and down but it might be useful to add something like an arrow). Last section is also incredibly jank, I find myself falling off the platforms all the time (their hitbox doesn't seem to be the full block). Final minor thing, at the end screen might be a bit broken, at the end of the final "thanks for playing" string the final character (assuming its a !) doesn't load
Aside from the bugs it was definitely a hard platformer and a fun challenge :). Anyways here's my sub 45s run:
(When a few bugs get fixed I might try a sub 40s or even like 35-38s)
Was intrigued until it started to have false block trap, a place I can't reach and the fact that when you lose you start everything from the beginning... :(
We made some fixes to the game this morning, maybe that will solve it (otherwise let us know where you encounter it, should you want to play again). And yes, this is a very unforgiving game. It's short, but very challenging.

If you're grinding down a wall and press a, it should make you jump off.
